Position of a point with respect to a circle

Is a point in the circle, on the circle or outside the circle

If the point is P find distance between the centre of the circle C and point P.
If the radius of the circle be R

CP is greater than R implies point is outside the circle.

CP = R implies point is on the circle

CP is less than R implies point is inside.
